Faculty and Staff Meal Plans

We are excited to introduce Faculty & Staff meal plans for the Fall 2019-Spring 2020 academic year.

How does it work?
Faculty and Staff Meal Plans can be used for yourself or to bring a guest for a meal at Pier Nine by Sam Choy or the Hawaii Loa Dining Commons.

The meal plan consists of Meals and Flex Dollars.

Meals:  Use your discounted meals at Pier Nine by Sam Choy at Aloha Tower Marketplace for breakfast, lunch or dinner.  Enjoy a restaurant experience having the option to create your own salad or panini sandwich for a lighter meal or delight yourself with featured special meals from our local partner, Chef Sam Choy.  Menus change daily so there is always a new option to try! Sam Choy is a James Beard Award winning chef, restaurateur, author and television personality.  Meals can be used at both Pier Nine by Sam Choy and Hawai'i Loa Dining Commons at the Hawai'i Loa campus.

Flex Dollars: Flex Dollars are like a gift card for food on campus.  They are attached to your ID card and are used just like a debit card.  Pier Nine by Sam Choy will offer additional solutions on-the-go like Grab & Go Salads and Sandwiches, Fruit Cups and Snacks.  If you are at the Hawai'i Loa Dining Commons, you will use your Flex Dollars for any meal period.

Guest meals: Need to treat a friend or co-worker to a meal?  You can pay for multiple guests with your meals or Flex Dollars.  Payment for each guest will be deducted from your meals or Flex Dollars balance.

Please Note: Although all Faculty & Staff can purchase a Block Plan or Flex Dollars, the Block Plan options are more suitable for dining at Pier Nine by Sam Choy.  The Flex Dollars option is more suitable for Faculty & Staff dining at the Hawai'i Loa campus.

All HPU Faculty & Staff meal plans must be purchased from this website.  After you select your meal plan, please allow one business day for the meal plan to be activated on your HPU ID card.  Once activated, you will use your HPU ID as the form of payment.

The Meals and Flex Dollars on the meal plan are active for both the Fall and Spring semesters.  All  Meals and Flex Dollars must be used by the end of the Spring semester.  Any unused Meals or Flex Dollars will be forfeited at the conclusion of the Spring 2020 semester.
